The Eastern Cape
There are three kings in the Eastern Cape: the descendants of King Victor Poto in Western Pondoland and those of Botha Sigcau in Eastern Pondoland. The other one is that of abaThembu, King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo. All these kings fought fiercely against the British invaders of their territories. We also know that under the jurisdiction of these kings are many amakhosi who were also involved in the fight against the British invaders. Today the cultural songs, dances and attire continue being used as part and parcel of cultural activities and are the wealth of the South African community.
