KwaZulu – Natal

 To date is under His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu :Zulus have various dances varying from Umzanzi,Shameni,Isibhaca,Ingoma yoMama,Ingoma yentombi,the province has a great history in fighting against the colonial British,asearly as King Cetshwayo,and King Dinizulu who died in 1913.Zulus come a long way and they continue to evolve. Prince Shingana kaMpande who was induna of uDloko regiment and who fought at Sandlwana against the British invaders of the Zulu Kingdom, also organized another uprising against the British invaders at kwaHlophekhulu on iMfolozi eMhlophe where he fought bravely killing two British troops in 1888. For this he was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment on St. Helena Island. He was banished there together with King Dinuzulu and Prince Ndabuko andwas released in January 1898. He was again banished from his home kwaBongofileyo and forced to leave all his livestock behind and died eManzimtoti where he was banished. His bravery was an inspiration to his great great son Prince Africa Zulu of onkweni founder of the Onkweni Royal Cultural Festival or ORCF International to launch cultural activities which will inspire the whole nation.
