The Free State

The baSotho in today’s Free State were one nation with those in Lesotho. They were separated when Kgosi Molapo was driven to Witsieshoek where the culture of the baSotho remained and songs and dance never changed. All these were driven by the history of the struggle against the Boers who stole the land and drove the baSotho into the mountains. However, cultural activities will go on even in those barren lands.
